THIRD COURT TO GO AHEAD
- Proposal was submitted to Council late last year, the Imperial Netball Club have since heard the Council have approved us for a Third Court with Proposal 2 being selected with a few issues we must iron out first.
- Two issues that come from the Council we must deal with are;
1. Storm Water Drain problems
2. Approval from all clubs affected in the area the court is going to be built - We are currently looking into Grants to help us fund this Third Court
- Fundraising for this Third Court is in the process of being sought however if anyone is interested in helping us out please contact one of our Committee Members or contact us through PO Box 1655, MURRAY BRIDGE SA 5253.
- Full approval for the Third Court was given in the first week of August 2008, awaiting on grants to be able to go ahead with the court.
Court Dimensions
Proposal 1
This proposal includes locating the new court to the northern end of the main court, extending out past the existing toilet amenities for a distance of 40 metres.
Advantages:
- Easy access
- Minimal trees to remove (4)
Disadvantages:
- Needs to be built up with soil if it were to remain level with existing courts
- Has at least two known underground services (electricity) passing through it
- Does impede a long way into existing parking areas
- Will impede onto existing vehicle track to homing club etc, especially if the soil needs to camber up to the required height.
Proposal 2

This proposal includes locating the new court to the eastern side of the main court, behind the existing Combined Clubs building for a distance of 40 metres at a width of 22.6 metres.
Advantages:
- No build up of soil needed.
- Has no known underground services
- No impact on existing land for car parking.
- Close to the original courts
Disadvantages:
- Will require a lot of reasonable sized trees removed (approx 20)
- Is very close to Hawke Road residents back yards
- Close to rear of Combined clubs, may have some objections.
